Senior Financial Analyst - Regulatory Expertise
Delivering strategic projects is a key responsibility of this Senior Business Analyst role. The ideal candidate will lead the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements for regulatory programmes within the financial services sector.
The successful candidate will partner with senior stakeholders to drive business change, focusing on governance, risk frameworks, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the analysis, documentation, and management of business requirements for regulatory programmes (insurance, wealth or banking regulations).
* Engage with key stakeholders, including risk, compliance, operations, and technology teams, to define business needs and ensure solutions meet regulatory standards.
* Conduct gap analyses on current processes and frameworks to assess regulatory compliance and identify risks.
* Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions with senior business leaders.
* Support the development of business cases, operating models, and impact assessments.
* Liaise between business and technology teams to translate requirements into technical specifications where necessary.
* Contribute to project planning, governance, and delivery activities, ensuring timely and high-quality outputs.
* Keep abreast of emerging regulatory requirements and advise stakeholders on their potential impact.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst within the financial services sector.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory and risk frameworks.
* Experience working on regulatory change programmes or risk transformation initiatives.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business and IT functions.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering actionable solutions.
* Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
* Professional qualifications are desirable but not a must.
