About the role:
This fixed term role for Semester 1, 2026 is offered at 0.56 FTE. The key responsibilities are to:
- Teaching engaging Physical Education lessons across Years 7–11.
- Creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes student achievement and wellbeing.
- Developing and implementing curriculum that reflects strong knowledge of ACARA and SACE requirements.
- Providing meaningful assessment, feedback and reporting to support student growth.
- Encouraging participation and excellence in physical activity, teamwork and personal development.
- Collaborating with colleagues, parents and the wider community to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Contributing to co-curricular programs, College events and community initiatives.
About the role:
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in teaching Physical Education across the Middle and Senior Years (Years 7–11).
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment and pedagogy in Health and Physical Education.
- Create dynamic and engaging learning experiences that foster teamwork, resilience and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students and families.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands.
- A commitment to the values, ethos and wellbeing framework of Seymour College.
- Current certifications, including Working with Children Check, RRHAN-EC, and First Aid in an education setting (HLTAID012) and Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB).
