The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.
NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry.
This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

Role
We are currently seeking a Regulatory Assistant to join the Strategic Regulation and Improvement Division in our Perth office. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Strategic Regulation and Improvement, the role will provide high-level administrative and technical support and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the Division.
Key Responsibilities
* Calendar management, including ensuring Senior Executives and Directors are fully briefed and prepared for internal and external meetings.
* Administration of procurement, including managing travel, accommodation and expense reimbursements.
* Facilitating meetings, coordinating follow-up actions and drafting correspondence.
* Active participation in team development and planning activities, arranging workshops and coordinating events.
* Assisting Directors and Regulatory Specialists in the administration of core regulatory processes: processing submissions, drafting and reviewing correspondence, liaising with operators and titleholders.
* Creating electronic files, updating and managing the Regulatory Management System and updating the external website.
* Working flexibly across the division, sourcing information and undertaking research and project work as appropriate.
We would like to hear from you if
* You are an experienced Technical Assistant, Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, Project Administrator or Administrative Officer.
* You possess experience in providing support to senior executives and technical experts, supporting multiple activities simultaneously.
* You have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* You possess strong organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision, and manage competing priorities.
* You have demonstrated ability to use initiative, problem solve and react flexibly to changing priorities.
* You have excellent attention to detail, ability to quality assure documents and maintain databases.
* You possess experience in coordinating workshops, events, booking travel, expense reimbursements and procurement.
