About the role
Our Sydney branch is currently seeking a Heavy Truck & Trailer Boiler Maker / Fabricator to assist in maintaining our fleet of modern Equipment. We have a well-equipped workshop and offer a great working environment with a small & friendly team.
Due to expanded ongoing growth we are currently seeking self-motivated & enthusiastic people we offer excellent negotiable pay rate for the right candidates.

What You'll Do
* Minor and major accident repairs on a variety of semi-trailers
* MIG welding of mild steel (with consistent, structurally sound welds)
* Reading and working from basic drawings, measurements, and instructions
* Structural repairs and modifications to meet fleet and compliance requirements
* Assisting with preventative maintenance and inspections of trailers
* Identifying defects and reporting safety or compliance concerns
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
* Working in line with WHS requirements, safe work procedures, and company policies
* Skills and experience
* Min 2 years' experience in a similar role
* You will be able to work unsupervised, be proactive and have an eye for detail
* Take pride in your work and complete to a high standard
* Be productive, punctual, meet your deadlines and be a part of our friendly team
* Previous fleet & trailer maintenance/servicing experience essential
* Ability to pass a pre employment medical & drug test
* Commitment to working safely with a positive attitude
* Experience working in a similar role or heavy industrial environment
* Trade Certificate – Engineering / Fabrication
* Driver's licence
* Confined space certificate
* Working at heights certificate
* A safety focused attitude
* Trade qualification in Vehicle Body Building/Welding or equivalent experience
* Proven experience fabricating and repairing trailers or similar heavy equipment
* Strong MIG welding skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small workshop team
* Good understanding of workshop safety and manual handling
* Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively
* Produce work that is structurally sound, neat, and fit for purpose
