The Financial Controller will oversee and manage the financial operations of the organization.
This critical leadership role involves guiding the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and smooth operation of accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
The role is key to maintaining financial health and supporting strategic growth.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting and AnalysisDeliver an accurate month-end close process within agreed deadlines.Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis.Monitor and analyse financial performance, offering insights and recommendations.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Budgeting and ForecastingSupport the FP&A business partner in developing annual budgets and forecasts.Monitor budget performance and variances; implement corrective actions.Provide financial projections and scenario analyses for strategic planning.Compliance ManagementOversee tax compliance and manage relationships with external tax advisers.Ensure adherence to debt covenants and maintain reporting to lenders.Ensure payroll compliance and accurate, timely processing.Stay updated on relevant tax and payroll regulations.Financial OperationsManage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow functions.Forecast and optimise working capital.Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets.Strategic SupportPartner with executive leadership on financial strategy and planning.Support growth initiatives through modelling and analysis.Provide decision support for major investments and changes.Lead and mentor a small finance team (2-3 direct reports).
