We look for a Care Worker with at least 3 months experience to join the Silverchain team in Cessnock and surrounding areas.

* Don't sweat the small stuff – can stay calm when a client has a bad day or when traffic delays occur
* Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, and know when to ask your manager for help
In Addition
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence & own insured, road‐worthy vehicle
* 3 months or more experience in a similar professional role, including personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medication management
The role
As a Care Worker you will provide aged‐care clients with home help and personal care services:
* General housekeeping: cleaning, mopping, vacuuming floors, washing, folding and ironing laundry, meal preparation and grocery shopping, making beds
* Personal care: helping clients get out of bed, shower, and dress; assisting with medication; mobility and therapy support; complex care for clients with high care needs such as dementia; social and emotional support; transporting clients to lifestyle activities or appointments; providing the family carer with a break or opportunity to handle other tasks
