About the Role:

We are seeking a high-level Counsellor, Social Worker, Welfare Officer or Psychologist to work in our Senior Aboriginal Clinician role at New Street Services.

New Street Services provide therapeutic services for children and young people aged 10 to 17 years who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviours towards others and their families.
">
The successful applicant will work in a co-therapy model, travelling in pairs to consult in outreach with flexible working hours. They will be part of a well-supported team, with ongoing clinical supervision and consultation from a senior Clinical Advisor.

We prioritise Aboriginal young people and are trained and committed to ensuring cultural safety. Identified Aboriginal Clinicians are in place at every New Street service as part of this commitment.

The position is part of the state-wide New Street Adolescent Services Network and sits within the Integrated Care Directorate at Western NSW Local Health District.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and consultation with a senior Clinical Advisor.

Ensure cultural safety and work collaboratively with community services to improve client outcomes.

Requirements:
">
High-level Counsellor, Social Worker, Welfare Officer or Psychologist qualifications.
">
Experience in clinical service of a complex nature and trauma-based restorative practice preferred but not essential.

Ability to work in a co-therapy model and travel in pairs to consult in outreach with flexible working hours.
">
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
">
Commitment to cultural safety and ensuring positive health outcomes for Aboriginal young people.
