Automotive Technical Support Specialist

ZF Services Australia is responsible for both Original Equipment Sales as well as servicing the Aftermarket through Technical Support, Part Sales and product rebuilds in our well-appointed workshop.
ZF Services Australia is based in Sydney's West and is looking for an energetic, self motivated person with a high level of technical competency with a passion to solve problems to join our Technical Support Team.
The Role
The role is primarily office-based assisting internal and external customers with a high level of technical support throughout Oceania for all ZF products via phone, email and technical inquiry portals. There are occasions where in-field work is required. Responsibilities include technical support for internal customers, OEM's, fleet operators, service partners and key customers. Technical support includes but is not limited to the provision of diagnostic and repair information, direct field support, warranty adjudication, technical report writing, the delivery of and delivery of technical training.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
* Cert III in either Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical, Light Vehicle Mechanical, or Mobile Plant Technology.
* Minimum 1 years post apprenticeship in a workshop or field service environment.
* Fundamental understanding of auto electrics and ability to read auto electrical drawings.
* Fundamental understanding of hydraulic vehicle / plant equipment systems and ability to read hydraulic drawings.
* Ability to use computer based diagnostic equipment.
* Ability to or willingness to develop in the delivery of technical training.

* Ability to work in the field on all ZF products including but not limited to commercial vehicle, construction equipment, earthmoving equipment, marine and passenger car.
