The Opportunity:
Our client is a locally based commercial laundry supporting customers across hospitality/accommodation and health‑related service environments, where reliability, quality and turnaround matter. We are seeking a Business Services Manager to strengthen our corporate services backbone and help drive growth through operational optimisation and systemisation.
About the role
Reporting to the owners, you will lead our business services function (finance operations, administration, systems, procurement governance and compliance support). Your work will directly enable production and service teams to focus on throughput, quality and customer delivery while you build repeatable systems and disciplined reporting. You will be employed full time contract completing 38 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
· Lead the business services function to ensure smooth administration and accurate, timely information for decision‑making across financial and business administrative functions.
· Manage budgeting, cashflow and management reporting contributing to month‑end processes and performance analysis.
· Systemise core processes, procedural statements and guidelines including SOPs, templates, document control, customer and staff onboarding checklists and reporting definitions.
· Analyse staff rostering and resource optimisation including costs and utilisation metrics.
· Support customer contract administration and customer growth initiatives including go-to market strategies.
· Oversee procurement administration and supplier/contract files.
· Coordinate facilities and compliance administration including registers and records, partnering with operations on safety and risk controls.
· Build strong internal relationships with operations and delivery teams, including development of staff members;
· Represent the company at trade shows, conventions and similar forums including assistance with branding.
Essential criteria
· Degree in Business/Commerce/Finance (or similar) or at least 5 years' relevant experience in lieu of formal qualification across business/corporate services.
· Strong financial acumen (budgeting, management reporting, advanced financial modelling).
· Demonstrated experience delivering systemisation/process improvement outcomes (such as documented processes, error reduction etc).
· Proven people leadership capability in an administration/finance context.
· Proficient in Mandarin acting as a key bridge between management and the operational team to ensure clear communication, high morale, and efficient project execution.
· Ability to work on‑site in Mildura.
Desirable
· Experience in the textile or garment industry would be highly regarded.
· Experience in operationally intensive services (such as manufacturing, logistics, assembly, fast-moving consumer goods or similar).
· Experience improving business systems (such as reporting, marketing implementations).
