THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Maintenance Superintendent you contribute to the delivery of the Callide Maintenance Plan, ensuring a focus on safety, reliability, availability, and cost.
You will support the delivery of the sites operational strategy and provide overall leadership support for enterprise initiatives. Leading a team of Maintenance Supervisors, you will foster an inclusive environment with a focus on a supportive culture.
You will also ensure the optimisation of maintenance activities, with a focus on risk mitigation, continuous improvement and technical advances.
This role is also responsible for acting as the Principal Representative for maintenance contractors on site.
Specifically, the role is accountable in the teams that it leads for the following:
* Lead the maintenance execution teams and promote discipline related to the work management processes, (e.g. by evaluating that work is executed according to the relevant schedules and work instructions).
* Ensure maintenance teams adhere to work management processes and related metrics/KPI's as annually defined in plans on a page. Facilitate performance and risk reviews, identify gaps and engage the relevant stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are taken.
* Ensure maintenance personnel are fully competent to work effectively and safely.
* Participate in the planning and scheduling process meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources are embedded in the work schedule.
* Ensure execution of maintenance activities in line with the weekly work schedule, or outage schedules and minimise any unscheduled work requirements.
* Provide input into the maintenance budget and manage the budget outcomes to ensure value is realised
* Provide input into maintenance strategy development and ensure maintenance generated changes are carried out using the MOC process
* Investigate reported events and instigate improvements where the maintenance function has primary accountability for controlling the risk.
* Use of Reports and data to monitor and manage performance
This is a permanent, full time position at Callide Power Station.
ABOUT YOU
To be sucessful in this position, you will hold:
* Trade or Degree in relevant field
* Advanced Diploma or Diploma (Preferred)
* 7-10 years' experience in reliability and maintenance within a relevant industry
* Demonstrated leadership experience with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
* Extensive understanding of technical knowledge of complex infrastructure and process systems
* Ability to inspire and lead teams to drive preventative maintenance outcomes, while delivering on safety and cost
* Ability to inspire through times of transformation
* Good understanding of risk and work management processes
