Roles and responsibilities
* Oversee and process fortnightly payroll accurately and on time.
* Resolve employee payroll issues promptly, including pay discrepancies, leave balances and payroll queries.
* Oversee weekly billing and claims for NDIS and DVA clients.
* Ensure invoicing and claims are accurate, complete and supported by appropriate records.
* Consolidate invoices, bills and other accounts payable/receivable documentation.
* Monitor and reconcile incoming payments, outstanding invoices and supplier accounts.
* Ensure IAS, BAS, Payroll, superannuation and other business expenses are paid accurately and on time.
* Support compliance with payroll, tax and reporting obligations.
* Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards and summaries for the Founder/CEO and Directors.
* Provide practical business finance advice, including cash‐flow, cost control and financial planning insights.
* Monitor business performance and raise any financial concerns or risks early.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting and identifying opportunities to improve financial efficiency.
* Maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
* Work closely with leadership to improve finance systems, controls and reporting processes.
About you
We are looking for someone who is reliable, commercially aware, detail‐oriented and comfortable working independently in a growing business.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Demonstrated experience in a similar Accountant, Bookkeeper, Finance Officer or Payroll role.
* Strong experience with payroll, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, IAS, BAS and financial reporting.
* Experience working in the NDIS, disability, healthcare, community services or allied health sector will be highly regarded.
* Strong understanding of NDIS billing, funding, record keeping and provider finance workflows will be highly regarded.
* Confidence managing payroll and interpreting payroll obligations accurately; sector bookkeeping providers specifically note SCHADS‐aware payroll as important in NDIS environments.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors, risks and anomalies early.
* Ability to provide clear and practical financial advice to senior leadership.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
* Relevant accounting, bookkeeping or finance qualifications are preferred.
