About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Distribution Manager to join our team at McHenry Hohnen Vintners in our Margaret River winery. This is a full-time, permanent position based in our picturesque Margaret River location, Western Australia.
As a Full-time Sales and Distribution Manager, this role will be responsible for leading our sales strategies to achieve the growth we have budgeted in revenue targets.
What you'll be doing
Developing and implementing effective sales and distribution strategies to drive growth and expand our distribution channels, increasing sales and margins.
Managing sales and relationships with key wholesale customers in the South West.
Managing sales and relationships with our national distributor, including market visits by winemakers and principals.
Analyzing market trends and customer data to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute integrated promotional campaigns.
Reporting weekly and monthly on all revenue streams across the company's sales areas.
Managing and supporting our wine club in collaboration with our marketing team.
Overseeing our new Cellar Door and Wine Bar sales teams.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
What we're looking for
Significant experience (5+ years) in a sales and distribution management role, preferably within the wine or broader hospitality/FMCG industry.
Proven track record of driving sales growth and developing successful distribution channels.
Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent relationship management and negotiation capabilities.
Proficient in data analysis and using insights to inform decision-making.
Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
Passion for the wine industry and an understanding of the Australian wine market.
