About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive People & Capability Business Partner to join the People & Capability team based in our Glenorchy office. This is a key advisory role supporting leaders, employees and volunteers across the organisation in all aspects of human resources, employee relations and workforce capability.
Reporting to the Executive Manager People & Workplace Relations, you will partner closely with people managers to build leadership capability, strengthen culture and ensure CTST meets its legislative, regulatory and industrial obligations. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement across HR systems, processes and policies.
This role is ideal for a HR professional who thrives on variety, values meaningful work and enjoys building strong relationships across a purpose‐driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Provide expert advice on a broad range of human resources and industrial relations matters
Support the development, implementation and review of HR strategies, policies and operational plans
Maintain up‐to‐date knowledge of legislation, Awards and compliance requirements
Coordinate training activities and maintain worker screening, training and accreditation records
Coordinate workers compensation and injury management processes
Contribute to workforce reporting, HR administration and People & Capability projects
Promote CTST's values and foster a positive, inclusive, safe and consumer‐centred culture
About You
You are a confident, collaborative and solutions‐focused HR professional who builds trust quickly and communicates with clarity and empathy. You enjoy partnering with leaders, supporting teams and contributing to organisational capability.
You will bring:
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or equivalent experience
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in generalist HR including interpreting Awards, NES and policies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, using tact and discretion to maintain confidentiality and build effective, trusting relationships
Strong analytical, problem‐solving and organisational skills
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate reports and correspondence
Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and flexible, and work within an environment that is subject to competing priorities, ambiguity and change
Highly developed computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HR or business partnering role
Experience in the transport, community services or not‐for‐profit sector
Licences & Requirements
All CTST employees must:
Hold a current driver's licence
Possess or be willing to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Registration
Be an Australian Resident or hold a valid Australian working visa
Be willing to travel intrastate as required
