The Role
The Field Services Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Maryborough, with regular travel to project sites in other regions. This role is focused on providing new product on-site support – including start-up (site assessment, installation, and commissioning), maintenance, and troubleshooting services.
When not travelling, the Field Service Engineer will provide proactive installation and commissioning planning and after sales service support – including creating relevant documentation and reference materials, troubleshooting customer issues, preparing spare parts quotes, order entry, and customer follow-up.
You will be reporting to the Project Manager, working within ESI's delivery team. The Salary for this role is $80,000 AUD.
You'll be responsible for:
* Travelling to customer sites and performing site assessments as well as install, commissioning, support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades to ESI's products over time.
* Creating and managing project plans for readying sites for product introduction, including facility modifications, IT networking, and control system software upgrades.
* Liaising with customers to ensure smooth installation, operation, and maintenance of ESI products.
* Creating documentation, and electronic reference material for in-service support, specifically:
* installation, support, and maintenance manuals,
* field service work instructions,
* maintenance instructions, and,
* safe work methods.
* Maintaining accurate field service records of provided support and deployed upgrades.
What You'll Bring
* Minimum of a bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
* Minimum 3 years' experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and / or electrical and electronic equipment.
* Experience integrating battery energy storage solution components will be highly regarded.
* A pragmatic, people first, down-to-earth outlook. We're looking for somebody who is a self-starter, self-directed, and self-motivated.
* A commitment to the company's goal of Zero Harm in its operations, and experience working within policies and procedures to achieve best outcomes.
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, and an ability to communicate complex technical issues in a clear, concise manner.
* Current Australian Driver's Licence.
