Lead. Inspire. Deliver energy that matters.

At SEA Gas, we play a vital role in sustainably securing the east coast energy transition. We own and operate over 800 km of high‑pressure natural gas pipelines across South Australia and Victoria — delivering reliable energy to power stations, industries, and homes.

Be part of a purpose‑driven business with a culture built around four straightforward values:

- Be Creative – think beyond
- Be Brave – speak up
- Be a Team – deliver together
- Be Mindful – we care

If you’re inspired by purpose, driven by technical excellence, and passionate about developing people, this is a rare opportunity to make your mark.

About the Role

As our Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a talented, multi‑disciplinary engineering team responsible for the integrity, reliability and performance of our pipeline systems. This pivotal leadership role provides engineering direction across all facets of operations — from asset management and process safety to project design and operational technology.

You’ll be the organization’s engineering authority — the go‑to for technical assurance, discipline leadership, and strategic decision‑making.

Your Key Accountabilities

- Leading and mentoring a team of six senior and specialist engineers across mechanical, electrical, process, and OT disciplines.
- Acting as custodian of our Asset Management Strategy and Operations Governance Framework.
- Providing engineering assurance and oversight of design standards for brownfield and development projects.
- Ensuring pipeline integrity, reliability, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards (including AS 2885).
- Overseeing Operational Technology (SCADA and control systems) to maintain secure and reliable operations.
- Playing an active role in emergency response as a senior technical authority.

This is a hands‑on, influential position where your leadership will shape how we operate, innovate, and grow into the future.

About You

You are an experienced engineering leader who brings a blend of technical depth and strategic thinking. You’re passionate about building capability, solving complex problems, and driving continuous improvement.

Core Competencies

- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Mechatronics Engineering and CPEng status (essential).
- 10+ years’ experience in oil & gas, gas transmission, or a similarly regulated energy sector.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
- Deep knowledge of pipeline systems, asset management, process safety, and engineering standards.
- The ability to see both the big picture and the technical detail — balancing operational excellence with long‑term asset integrity.

Why Join Us

At SEA Gas you’ll join a small, high‑performing team that values collaboration, accountability, and innovation. We take pride in what we do and how we do it — safely, responsibly, and with care for our people and communities.

- A range of incentives and benefits including a 9 day fortnight.
- A supportive, inclusive culture where your voice matters.
- The opportunity to influence energy transition at a system level.
- Professional growth through technical leadership and strategic impact.

Ready to Think Beyond?

If you’re ready to lead with purpose and help shape a sustainable energy future, we’d love to hear from you.
