The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong finance executive to oversee the group reporting for a high-growth multinational with a Melbourne head office. Our client has enjoyed a lot of recent success and the FC will inherit a high caliber finance team.
With a proven history of value creation, the business is well placed to further capitalize on domestic and global expansion both organically and through acquisitions.
The Challenge
Leading the group’s end-to-end financial reporting process, you will have a broad range of responsibilities including:
* Communicating and influencing key stakeholders across the executive team - this will be critical to your success
* Ongoing development, support and management of a team of 3+ high performers - this will be also critical to your success
* Oversight of the monthly consolidation process and month end close, including ensuring the integrity of Group financial results
* Lead the delivery of consolidated reporting to the Board, including ongoing evolution of reporting in line with the expansion of the Group
* Responsibility for the delivery and accuracy of the Group annual report and half year report
* Providing support and guidance to the group on all technical accounting matters and the associated implications
* Providing input and take ownership of various projects, including a number of current and future M&A activities
* Responsible for development and enhancement of consolidation and financial reporting tools
The Expertise
To be considered for this opportunity it is likely you will possess the following:
* CA/CPA qualified
* Group accounting experience in a mid-large sized corporate
* Stakeholder management experience at the CFO / CEO / Audit & Risk Committee level
* Exposure to global business matters and complex accounting matters
* A well developed values based approach to communication, management and leadership
