This is a full-time, permanent position, based at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton. The Sustainability Specialist, may need to travel to and from other Monash Health and Monash Health community sites.
**About The Role**
You will be responsible for developing and implementing projects and initiatives to achieve the objectives outlined in our Monash Health Sustainability Action Plan. You will work towards finding new, innovative and economically reductive practices that minimise waste, reduce our carbon footprint, and maximize efficiency.
**About You**
You are an accomplished environmental practitioner with demonstrated experience delivering projects and service improvement initiatives.
You understand the impact that environmental problems such as climate change, have on health care services delivery, and work to promote greater sustainability and environmental health in the health sector.
You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of fit-for-purpose health services and programs to the largest public health catchment in Victoria. You are an advocate of Monash Health's Strategic Guiding Principles.
**What You Need**:
- Experience within the Health sector would be highly regarded
- Project Management skills and experience required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, including internal and external stakeholders
- Skills and ability to manage complex issues, problems and competing priorities
