About the role
Duncraig Smiles Dental Clinic is seeking an experienced Dental Nurse to join our dedicated and passionate team on a part-time basis. As a Dental Nurse, you will be an integral part of providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality oral healthcare services to our patients.
There are 2 positions available:
Position A: Wednesday: 8.30 am to 5 pm
Saturday: 8.30 am to 1 pm
(** Tuesdays and Fridays 8 am to 5 pm can be added from May 2026 as one of the nurses is going for maternity leave. immediate start available)
Position B: Monday: 5 pm to 10.30 pm
Tuesday: 5.15 pm to 10.30 pm
(** This is an after hours position suitable for someone with family commitments. Please don't apply if you are already working a day job on these days. Start February 2026)
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile work environment, and ensuring the smooth flow of the dental clinic
2. Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
3. Greeting and welcoming patients, and ensuring a positive patient experience
4. Maintaining accurate patient records and updating treatment plans. Knowledge of D4W is advantageous
5. Re-stocking your surgery at teh end of the day
6. Adhering to all health, safety, and infection control protocols
7. Instrument counting at the end of the day
What we're looking for
1. Cert 3 or 4 and experience as a Dental Nurse
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and team members
3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
4. Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of the dental practice
5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
