About the jobBridge IT Engineering is seeking a Network Engineer for a federal government department with offices in the ACT.
The position is primarily a technical hands-on role, with responsibility to conduct technical systems verification and validation of in-service and emerging SATCOM and other WAN systems; as well as design, build, maintenance and configuration control tasks.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide Network Solution Engineering within the validate function for the SystemsBuild and administer mission network's WANs based on the following technologies:FDMA / TDMA SATCOMOSPF, EIGRP and BGP routing protocolsIPv4 and IPv6TriLos and emerging transport systemsBuild, configure and test Mission Network WAN and routing assembliesEstablish and management of Internet Protocol (IP) cryptographic nets for the secure transportDevelop and align systems to emerging cryptography requirements including post Quantum encryptionEnhance wideband trunking in the deployed environmentEnhance Deployable Local Area Network switching and routingAssist in future SATCOM and narrowband services engineeringAssist in the configuration of Tactical Communication Systems (TCN) routingSupport the development and engineering of SWARM systemsCriteriaExtensive experience in designing, implementing and operating SATCOM and WAN technologiesStrong working knowledge of networking at enterprise and deployable networksRelevant tertiary or vocational qualifications in SATCOM Engineering, Network Engineering or related disciplinesExperience supporting government projectsFamiliarity with integrating emerging technologies into secure infrastructureAbility to operate and succeed in a energetic environment, whether in a multi-disciplinary team or independentlyProven skills and experience in stakeholder managementRelevant experience in delivering capability to customer or user groupsExperience in delivering technical instructionTechnical writing and documentationYour ICT Recruiter for this roleNote: Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contactedSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting
