* Salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a. (HP4)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
The Department of Social Work within The Townsville Hospital Health Service provides comprehensive Social Work services as an integral part of its health care delivery system.
The purpose of the position is to provide a high level social work service, as a member of the Palliative Care team, to optimise the psychosocial care received by patients and/or their family/carer in order to optimise their quality of life.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
* The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in social work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Roster: The incumbent understands and agrees to participation in rotation across clinical areas and campuses, On-call arrangements (including the Department's Emergency Clinical On-call Roster, which requires a 30-minute response time), shift work (including early, late and night), as well as weekends and public holidays.
* Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
