We’re hiring a Lead Platform Engineer to head up CloudOps team and steer the future of AWS-based infrastructure.An e-learning company with a difference - they’re not just coding for clicks - they’re democratising online education, making it available to everyone.You’ll own the uptime of large-scale, global systems, keep things humming with proactive monitoring and performance tuning, and lead key modernisation initiatives.Your team will look to you for technical leadership, mentorship, and the occasional "let’s try this crazy idea" moment that just might work.What you’ll be doing:Leading and growing a sharp team of engineers, with a focus on continuous improvementOwning and optimizing AWS cloud setup for scale, performance, and securitySpearheading internal projects like migrations, upgrades, and automation initiativesChampioning DevOps best practices: CI/CD, Git workflows, infrastructure as codeKeeping everything visible with tools like Datadog and CloudWatchCollaborating globally across teams to make the platform invisible (in a good way)What you bring:8+ years running production environments5+ years leading ops or engineering teamsDeep AWS and Linux knowledge, plus solid DB skills (MariaDB/Postgres on RDS)Python scripting chops and Git-fuA mind for monitoring, a knack for automation, and a healthy respect for documentationYou must have full working permissions for Australia.
