**The Role**
The Infrastructure, Platforms and Project Branch is looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional with drive, integrity, excellent time management and organisational skills to lead the department's IT Disaster Recovery team.
The successful applicant will have a willingness to work independently and collaboratively as part of a high performing team of IT professionals and have demonstrated experience working in an enterprise environment.**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the EL1 may include:
- Reviewing and maintaining IT DR Governance documentation - Planning and conducting IT DR tests, walkthroughs, and paper-based exercises
- Preparation of various artefacts such as disaster recovery plans and run sheets
- Preparation of test reports to capture and maintain evidence of lessons learned for reporting and tracking improvements
- Ongoing maintenance and execution of the annual IT DR test program
- Undertaking regular reviews of the divisions DR plans and identifying and analysing gaps in these plans
- Designing and implementing disaster recovery processes for re-establishing IT systems for both minor and catastrophic events
- Analysing critical functions and defining the scope and impact of DR scenarios
- Liaising with the departments Business Continuity team
**Qualifications and Education**
- Certification in IT Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity is highly desirable but not essential
- Prior experience in IT disaster recovery preferred
