- registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching 
- accreditation to teach Religious Education, or a commitment to gaining accreditation 
- commitment to the Catholic Faith, Church Teachings, and the Vision and Goals of Our Lady Star of the Sea School 
- a responsible commitment to child safe obligations 
- ability to be a team-oriented contributor within a team-focused learning community where active learning, building positive relationships and being student focused is valued. 
- knowledge and experience of the Victorian Curriculum, current educational thinking and evidence-based learning 
- a pedagogy which is rigorous, with capacity to plan and implement engaging learning 
- expert skills to effectively use technology to enhance and transform student learning 
- capacity to add value to the school direction to support the language learning program (Indonesian)
