About the role
Yes Staffing Solutions is looking for a talented Carpenter/Cabinet Maker to join our Client in Perth, WA 6000. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development within our dynamic organisation. As a Carpenter/Cabinet Maker, you will play a vital role in creating high-quality custom furniture and cabinetry for our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out both 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
· Perform tasks including:
o Stud framing and roof framing
o Formwork
o Installation of wall frames, ceilings, skirtings
o Installation and repair of doors, windows, stairs, decks, patios, and landings
o General carpentry and joinery: measuring, cutting, shaping, and fitting materials
o Inspect and replace damaged framework or fixtures
· Interpret and follow construction plans and drawings
· Measure, cut, and install roof trusses, rafters, battens, and beams
· Read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings
· Assemble and install both timber and metal roof structures
· Fit and secure roofing materials
· Inspect and assess roofs for repairs or replacement
· Ensure high-quality work is completed safely and efficiently
· Work independently or as part of a team on-site
· Lead and supervise small teams when required
What we're looking for
1. Formal qualification in Carpentry and/or Cabinet Making, or equivalent industry experience
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications
3. Skilled in the use of various power tools and hand tools common to the carpentry trade
4. Experience in producing high-quality custom furniture and cabinetry
5. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship
6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
