This role provides the chance to be part of the ongoing digital transformation within NSW Public Works and the implementation of our digital environment to support the excellent design and delivery of projects across NSW.

**About the role**

We are currently seeking a Manager, Digital Engineering to join Public Works (PW) within the Department Primary Industry and Regional Development (DPIRD)

The role will report to the Senior Manager, Digital Engineering and is responsible for developing and maintaining fully integrated systems, tools and processes that help drive optimised infrastructure, construction, advisory and emergency management project outcomes, specifically configuration and development in the Microsoft technology stack.

This role will contribute to the overall strategy and roadmap of the project controls digital environment within Public Works, ensuring the business has the correct mix of capability, capacity, and supporting technology in place to drive transformation of the planning and delivery of projects within a digital environment.

The role will also work within Public Works and with Agencies and Councils to develop tailored, 'outside the square' solutions for large projects or programs of work, often in a fluid and rapidly evolving environment aligned to international standards and government policy.

**About you**

To undertake this role, it is essential that you have proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects within a technical and commercial environment within public and private sectors and a working knowledge of Digital Engineering (software, cloud platforms, policies).

You are required to be highly proficient in 3D Modelling and analysis using latest software such as the Autodesk AEC Collection and cloud collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, developing (hands on coding/development) and supporting user and business tools in the Microsoft, Esri and Autodesk software and platforms: Office 365, SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerApps, Power Automate, Dynamo, Python. Demonstrated experience with technical problem solving, discipline's all phases of design for complex multi-disciplinary buildings, civil, water infrastructure or other engineering projects is desirable.

An Engineering degree, or equivalent demonstrable level of skill and experience is required. Including recent experience in the design and delivery of buildings, dams, civil, water, and built infrastructure in one of the engineering disciplines - Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.

You will be required to build and maintain strong relationships both within and outside Public Works have capacity to work with management, staff and clients exhibiting strong stakeholder management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high level interpersonal skills are essential including the ability to facilitate meetings and training sessions will be required.

You must have a current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to drive to and work in remote locations which may include overnight stays.
