* Permanent part-time work, 60 hours per fortnight
We are seeking an experienced aged care kitchen assistant to work at our beautiful Garden Suburb facility for up to 60 hours per fortnight. Applicants must be able to work weekends and have a minimum of 12 months aged care experience.
About our facility
Uniting Garden Suburb comprises 3 separate households, each with 25–30 residents, including a secure household for people living with dementia or mental health illnesses. Your role as a Homemaker is to ensure the community thrives and residents engage in meaningful and enjoyable activities.
Duties
* Provide quality, timely hotel services such as catering
* Complete documentation in the Food Safety Program and information management system, and coach Food Services Team members to do the same
* Contribute to continuous service improvement, aligning with Aged Care Accreditation Standards
* Handle queries and complaints from clients, families, co-workers, and service providers confidentially and promptly, in collaboration with your supervisor
* While delivering hotel services, treat clients with respect, recognizing their abilities, preferences, and decision-making capacity
What We’re Looking For
* Ideally, a Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent qualification
* Cert III in Hospitality – Commercial Cookery or similar, or demonstrated competence in catering services
* Minimum one year of experience in similar roles (catering, kitchenhand) within aged care
