SARM Architects is a well-established North Sydney practice undertaking a range of residential and educational projects. Following the recent confirmation of several projects proceeding, we are seeking suitably qualified individuals to join our team and grow into key roles within the practice.
The role will involve supporting senior staff and directors, with opportunities for involvement across all stages of projects, from sketch design through to construction completion with an emphasis on preparation of design development and tender documentation.
Applicants should include the following in their response:
* A recognised architectural degree, drafting diploma or extensive local drafting experience
* Proficiency in CAD software (Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD or MicroStation). Experience in other drafting programs will also be considered
* Demonstrated knowledge of the National Construction Code, Development Control Plans, and relevant Australian Codes and Standards
* Proven understanding of construction detailing
* Currently residing within the Sydney Metropolitan Area
* An enthusiastic and reliable work ethic
* Demonstrated performance in project delivery
* A commitment to contributing to and growing with the team
* An interest in following projects from sketch design through to final construction
* A long-term commitment to developing a career within a growing practice
Candidates interested in broadening their experience in additional areas of practice will also be considered. This may include assisting the directors with office management functions such as resourcing, marketing, maintenance of web presence, preparation of presentation material for clients, specification writing, and upkeep of Quality Assurance certification.
