Job Title: Business Development Specialist - Hospital and Aged Care
The Business Development Specialist - Hospital and Aged Care drives the sales of Ascensia products through Hospital, Aged Care and other non-pharmacy channels. The role will use leads from the sales team to identify and commence sales interactions, map and create stakeholder relationships, submit mutually beneficial submissions and tenders, and convert into ongoing sales. This is a national role and will require travel between states to ensure the successful submission and implementation of tenders.
Location: Sydney or Melbourne based with national travel
What you will be doing:
* Identify key decision makers and develop relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals and aged care organisations.
* Identify & quantify opportunities to build a pipeline consisting of tenders and key accounts.
* Lead the preparation and submission of offers / tenders to local and state-based hospitals and aged care. Work collaboratively within the business to gain necessary focus and support.
* Manage direct customer / wholesaler accounts where required for hospital and aged care. This includes ensuring sufficient stock coverage, reporting, follow through on accounts payable and general account management.
* Follow through with hospitals and aged care to ensure adoption and ongoing usage.
What You Need For Success:
* Bachelor's Degree in Science/Pharmacy/Nursing.
* At least 5+ years of experience in a sales or KAM role (pharma, OTC or diagnostics preferred), with experience working with hospital tenders.
