Overview
A well-established hospitality group is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead the front-of-house operations of one of its busy regional venues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong teams while delivering a great customer experience.
About the Role
Reporting to an Area Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the venue's front-of-house while ensuring the team delivers consistent service and maintains high operational standards.
Responsibilities
* Managing front-of-house operations in a busy licensed venue
* Recruiting, training, and leading bar and wait staff
* Preparing staff rosters aligned to labour budgets
* Stock ordering and stock control for front-of-house operations
* Ensuring banking procedures and financial controls are followed
* Maintaining venue presentation, including lighting, temperature, music, and screen content
* Ensuring RSA compliance and licensing regulations are adhered to
* Approving timesheets and leave submissions for payroll deadlines
* Coordinating maintenance issues with the head office team
* Implementing in-venue promotions, events, and specials in collaboration with marketing
* Building strong communication and teamwork with the kitchen team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Previous Venue Manager, Assistant Venue Manager, or Duty Manager experience
* Strong leadership and team development skills
* Solid understanding of rosters, labour control, and stock management
* Ability to maintain high service standards in a busy environment
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A proactive, hands-on leadership style
Required Certifications
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
* Approved Manager's Certificate (WA)
* Current Driver's Licence
* First Aid
* Hospitality Hygiene for Food Handlers (Advanced)
TAB Certification will be highly regarded.
