Where you'll be working
Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the Southern half of NSW. It includes 18 facilities and hospitals that care for more than 200,000 people. What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides expert clinical input into the development, delivery, management and evaluation of the Southern Rural Emergency Nursing Exchange Program (RENEX). The position will work in close collaboration with management and key stakeholders to develop, implement and evaluate the project plan.
Selection Criteria
Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with at least 5 years full-time equivalent postgraduate experience with tertiary nursing qualifications in Emergency Nursing and at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
Demonstrated expertise in rural and emergency nursing and clinical leadership.
Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of clinical education programs.
Proven ability to manage complex projects, including stakeholder engagement and evaluation.
High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Current unrestricted drivers' license and the ability to travel as required. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination
This is a Category 'A' position. All new employees must comply with NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. OASV requirements include proof of vaccination against influenza and are compulsory for NSW staff who enter Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
