We’re working with a well-established national insurance brokerage to recruit a Broking Team Leader to join their growing regional team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced broker ready to step into a leadership role, or someone already leading a small team who wants more structure, support, and long-term growth.
The Role
You’ll lead a small team of 3–4 junior brokers/Account Executives while overseeing a combined SME portfolio of approximately $1.5M in revenue. This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance leadership responsibilities with managing and supporting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior brokers/Account Executives
* Oversee a $1.5M SME portfolio across the team
* Provide technical guidance and support on client accounts
* Assist with complex placements and client strategy
* Ensure high service standards and retention across the portfolio
* Work closely with senior leadership on team performance and growth
About You
* 3–5 years’ experience in insurance broking (SME/commercial)
* Strong technical knowledge across general insurance products
* Previous experience mentoring or leading junior staff (formal or informal)
* Confident managing client relationships and providing advice
* Tier 1 qualification (or near completion)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
