Infrastructure Recovery Project Officer (Term. 30 June 2028)
Byron Shire Council is seeking a Infrastructure Recovery Project Officer to join the Infrastructure Recovery Team.
This position will deliver engineering technical services, project and contractor management for Infrastructure Recovery programs under Natural Disaster funding arrangements.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrated experience in engineering works, or extensive experience in civil and project works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high level engineering technical services
- Manage projects and contractors for Infrastructure Recovery programs
- Ensure the effective delivery of the reinstatement, reconstruction and betterment of Council infrastructure impacted by Natural Disaster Events
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrated experience in engineering works
- Demonstrated experience in contractor management, site supervision and contract administration
- Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements, environmental legislation and the Local Government Act, Regulations & procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
