Development Services Team
Development Services is an international/global team. Our vision is to enable development teams to adopt
Standardized Platforms
by making Public (AWS) cloud and Private (OpenShift) cloud platforms more consumable. We aim to do this by implementing
Standardized Pipelines
across all teams and applications and provide a
Standardized Development Experience.
As a member of Development Services team, you will be interacting very closely with product development teams, platform teams, Architects, CISO located in different regions across the globe.
Development Services team owns Release & Deployment Management as a capability & process.
Your Job
As GitLab expert in Development Services, you will be the one responsible for being the administrator of GitLab, implementing & maintaining GitLab runners and rolling out standard pipelines using GitLab in the different product development teams across different regions.
Responsibilities
GitLab Administration:
* Manage GitLab instances (self-hosted or SaaS), including configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
* Implement and maintain user access controls, group structures, and project permissions.
* Implement and maintain GitLab Duo
CI/CD Pipeline Development:
* Design and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
* Integrate security scans (SAST, DAST, dependency checks) into pipelines.
DevSecOps Enablement:
* Embed compliance and security policies into GitLab workflows.
* Implement GitOps practices for infrastructure and application deployments.
Integration & Automation:
* Connect GitLab with tools like AWS, OpenShift, Jenkins, Nexus, AquaSec, Jira, Splunk
* Automate workflows using GitLab APIs and custom scripts.
Governance & Best Practices:
* Define branching strategies, merge request workflows, and code review standards.
* Provide training and guidance to development teams on GitLab usage and best practices.
Your Experience
* Advanced knowledge of
GitLab administration
and
GitLab CI/CD
.
* Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control principles.
* Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
* Experience with AWS
* Experience with OpenShift
* Proficiency in
Python
,
Bash
, or similar scripting languages
* Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and security scanning tools.
* Advanced Git flow workflows and branching strategies – Trunk based with feature toggling
* Exposure to
DORA metrics
and pipeline standardization.
