The primary focus of this role is to facilitate behaviour change programs and undertake assessments, counselling, referrals and case reviews for a range of clients including facilitating group programs for men who are referred due to their use of violence and abuse within their intimate relationships**The position requires:*** A deep understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and counselling practices* A high degree of experience in client work* Professional epistemological (framework) awareness* Creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore the underlying causes of their behaviour, understand the impact of their actions, and develop healthier ways of relating to others**Key Responsibilities include:*** Facilitate behaviour change programs for men who perpetrate domestic violence, promoting accountability and positive change* Provide individual intake/review and group sessions to clients, utilising evidence-based practices* Implement safety planning for clients and their families, ensuring a focus on risk management and the cessation of violence* Networking with the police and criminal justice sector and other agencies and services who work in the field of domestic and family violence. * **Flexible work arrangements** to support work-life balance* **NFP Salary Packaging:** Save tax and increase your take home pay by salary packaging your everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum.
