Our client, based in central Melbourne, is looking to increase its automation test coverage. As an experienced JavaScript software engineer who enjoys building automation frameworks you will be working closely with the Product Owner & Developers to build and maintain an automation framework for the organisation's new Agile stream. Backend: Node.JS, Postgres running in AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda)
JavaScript/
TypeScript, React
Apps: Node.JS/Ember in Electron and Cordova running on Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeBook, iOS and Android
Hardware: C/C++/Node.JS/Java running on Linux
As the QA Automation Engineer/SDET you will be responsible for the following:
-Build test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver/
Playwright
Must be an expert in JavaScript, TypeScript and Playwright
-Develop and implement Automation test plans for individual phases of application testing.
-Identify test scenarios, and design and develop associated test cases.
-Record test results, raise defect records, re-test defect fixes.
-Work within a small team of developers to establish testing frameworks
-Identify test data requirements and develop test data
To be considered for this role you must have:
-
Solid experience working with Javascript and Typescript in a Node.JS environment
-Proven experience within automation testing within a complex environment
-Extensive experience using Playwright
-Proven experience testing web applications and mobile app automation
-Continuous integration and automation build experience (hands-on experience with Jenkins
-Australian Residency / Citizenship
-Must have Computer Science degree
