About the Role:
This is a full-time position offering an annual salary of $75,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation, based in Australia. The role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Child Care Worker to work in a professional early childhood setting, supporting the care, supervision, and development of children.
Responsibilities:
* Set clear expectations to promote positive behavior and social interactions.
* Assist with mealtimes, promoting healthy eating habits and good table manners.
* Supervise children during activities to ensure their safety and proper behavior.
* Encourage peer interaction to develop teamwork and social skills.
* Offer emotional guidance to help children express their feelings and build confidence.
* Observe and assess children's development, providing support when needed.
* Manage daily routines, ensuring activities proceed smoothly and on schedule.
* Support children in transitioning between activities and daily routines.
* Entertain children through stories, games, and imaginative play.
* Maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for exploration and learning.
* Organize and lead engaging activities that encourage learning and creativity.
* Help prepare materials and equipment for both educational and recreational activities.
* Communicate with parents and colleagues to share updates on children's progress and address any concerns.
* Assist children with hygiene tasks, such as handwashing and bathroom routines.
Job Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Certificate III, Diploma, or higher).
* Minimum 2–3 years of relevant full-time experience in a childcare or early learning environment.
* Knowledge of early childhood development principles and learning frameworks.
* A valid working with children check
* Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and childcare regulations.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to engage and interact positively with children and families.
* High level of patience, responsibility, and attentiveness.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for children.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
