- All Metro Employees receive a free Myki pass that allows free Public Transport in Victoria- The Position- The Strategic Communications Manager will partner with Metro's technology arm to successfully develop and deliver internal and external communication strategies in tight timeframes. The intent is to amplify Technology's priority opportunities to communicate effectively and engage well with its people, the broader organisation and key external stakeholders.- Responsibilities- Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, key responsibilities include;
- Develop and implement effective internal and external communication plans to support the achievement of key business priorities and operational and passenger improvement initiatives.
- Partner closely with relevant General Managers, leadership teams, and departments/teams to proactively amplify and support initiatives and opportunities; and ensure a OneTeam OneMetro approach.
- Develop and deliver written communications and other styles of collateral, including video and posters, regularly for both external and internal audience
- Provide coaching and support to leaders around effective communication as needed to enhance capability and employee engagement further- About You- Ideally, you will have a
- Tertiary qualification in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, marketing or business or equivalent relevant experience- Demonstrated experience in:
- External and internal communications and/or corporate communications roles with previous success in a senior external and internal communications role
- Communication within a large and complex organisation, especially communicating with a highly unionised and mobile workforce combined with communication arising from the introduction of new technology and systems in an organisation-
