About the role
We are seeking a full-time Panel Beater to join our team at our Berrimah Bus Depot.
Working independently while being supported by a collaborative workshop team, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodies and panels to their original condition. This is a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of approximately 190 vehicles.
Our workshop operates across various shifts between 5:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing
* Identifying required vehicle repairs in consultation with the Workshop Manager
* Working closely with the Spray Painter to plan and coordinate repair jobs
* Assisting the Procurement Manager to cost repair works
* Performing panel beating, straightening, and alignment to restore vehicles
* Preparing vehicle surfaces for painting and refinishing
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within required timeframes
* Collaborating with the broader workshop team to deliver efficient vehicle repairs
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment
What we're looking for
* Minimum Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology
* At least 5 years’ proven experience as a Panel Beater, ideally in a commercial workshop environment (desirable)
* Aluminium welding experience (desirable)
* Strong technical skills in panel beating, painting, and vehicle restoration
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Please note: This is a physical role requiring you to be active on your feet and handle sheets of metal throughout the day.
