Sick of the same workshop, same jobs, same nonsense?
Rosmul Mechanical is based at Perth Airport, and we work where most mechanics don't — airside, around aircraft, specialised ground support equipment, and critical fleets that have to work.
We're a growing SME, not a corporate machine. You'll know who you work for, why the job matters, and you'll be trusted to do it properly.
If you're a mechanic who takes pride in their work, likes variety, and wants to be part of a tight crew that backs each other, keep reading. We can provide sponsorship if required
The Role (What you'll actually be doing)
You'll be hands-on, working mainly airside on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and fleet vehicles, including Heavy Vehicles.
Your day will include:
· Repairing and maintaining fleet and GSE equipment — doing it right, not rushing it
· Diagnosing faults, thinking problems through, and planning proper repairs
· Responding to breakdowns as part of a team (no heroics, no blame culture)
· Working on specialised aviation equipment — real exposure, not just a buzzword
· Keeping safety front and centre (airside isn't the place for shortcuts)
· Logging work daily in our system so everyone stays aligned
· Dealing professionally with clients and representing Rosmul the right way
Why Rosmul?
We don't promise "ping pong tables or family BBQ's" or corporate fluff.
What we do offer:
· Guaranteed hours, up to 50 hours weekly (sometimes more if that's what you're after)
· Variety — no two days are the same
· Proper exposure to aviation and specialised equipment
· A workshop that values quality
· A team that works together and looks after each other
· Direct access to decision-makers, not layers of management
· Branded company uniforms
· Sponsorship available for the right candidate
· Competitive rates
You'll fit in here if you:
· Are a qualified Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
· Have solid experience (around 5+ years) across light and/or heavy equipment
· Can work autonomously but actually enjoys being part of a team
· Take pride in problem-solving instead of passing jobs on
· Are organised, proactive, and don't need to be micromanaged
Bonus points (not deal breakers):
· Welding experience
· Exposure to GSE or aviation environments
· Diesel, hydraulics, or breakdown maintenance experience
You'll need:
· A current HR driver's licence
· The ability to obtain a Police Clearance, Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC (we guide and pay for the process to obtain your ASIC), and pass drug & alcohol screening (standard for airside work)
Final word
If you're proud of your work and want a role that's a bit different from the usual workshop grind, we'd like to talk.
Even if you're not actively looking, but this sounds like your kind of setup, reach out.
Worst case? You have a conversation with some lovely people (if we do say so ourselves)
