About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Coordinator Engineering Design (S7.11) to join the Asset Design team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role is responsible for leading a team to create a liveable, safe and sustainable Blacktown City through the design of stormwater infrastructure, catchment management, and coordination of stormwater and road design across the North West Growth Area.
Key Responsibilities
Leading the S7.11 Stormwater Design team whilst ensuring all civil stormwater designs are completed in accordance with professional engineering standards, are of high quality that meet Council's requirements, and addressing multiple objectives
Coordinating and preparing technical stormwater engineering policy documents, research, strategic plans and providing technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders
Managing the overall team financial budgets
Coordinating S7.11 developer contributions stormwater management designs with road infrastructure

Essential Qualifications and Experience
Degree in civil engineering
At least 8 years post-qualification experience in the survey, investigation and design of stormwater management infrastructure and cost estimates
Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) qualification and National Engineering Registration (NER)
In-depth demonstrated experience in leading and managing design teams to ensure effective and timely delivery of program activities
Demonstrated experience in GIS packages, computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications and extensive experience in AutoCAD, 12D and water engineering applications such as DRAINS, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS, TUFLOW and MUSIC
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to determine and adapt management approaches for a broad range of stormwater, floodplain and road infrastructure management situations
Demonstrated commitment to customer service
Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations
Experience in managing financial budgets with inclusion of forecasting
Current class C driver's licence
Desirable
Demonstrated experience in coordinating stormwater management and transport infrastructure with developer works
Demonstrated experience in preparing precinct scale stormwater strategies, contribution plans, and associated planning instruments and policies
Experience in CM9, Technology One and CIA
Remuneration And Benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
Entry level for this position starts at $2,735.37 per week
35-hour working week
