The Role
Churchlands SHS is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Humanities and Social Science teacher with a specialisation in ATAR Modern History.
Capacity to create a safe, inclusive learning environment and be highly collaborative and reflective.
Ability to promote, design and deliver engaging lessons that support students with different needs to grow in confidence and capacity.
Recent experience in the delivery of ATAR Modern History in Years 11 and 12 is highly desirable.
Enthusiasm for professional learning opportunities to maximise student engagement, build a common language and promote teacher reflection.
Use of formative assessment strategies, engagement in moderation and marking processes, provision of effective, timely feedback, and use of data to evaluate and improve teaching impact.
Capacity to initiate and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, colleagues and the wider school community.

Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
