About the role
Reporting to the Group Engineering Projects Manager, you will provide best practice project management across a portfolio of high value projects within our Greater Sydney sites. You'll be accountable for delivery excellence, mentoring junior engineers, and driving change management associated with the projects.
This role spans:
* Large CAPEX initiatives ($2-$15 Mil +)
* Brownfield upgrades in high-volume production environments
* Cross-functional engagement with operations, quality, safety, finance, and supply chain
You will be trusted to make decisions that balance capital efficiency, food safety, production continuity, and long-term asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead major end-to-end projects, from business case and concept approval through to commissioning and operational handover
* Drive delivery of complex brownfield initiatives, including new production lines, major equipment installs, and facility upgrades
* Partner with site operational leaders to align projects with production, growth, and capability strategies
* Comply with business project governance, risk management, and change control frameworks
* Manage and influence internal stakeholders, senior leaders, OEMs, contractors, and consultants
* Ensure projects meet food safety, WHS, quality, and local authorities' compliance requirements
* Oversee commissioning, performance ramp‐up, and transition to BAU operations
* Occasional travel for supplier inspections, FATs, equipment commissioning, or reference site visits

About you
You are a seasoned Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex projects in FMCG or food manufacturing environments. You combine strong technical credibility with commercial acumen and are confident operating as a major change manager.
Essential Experience & Capability
* Degree‐qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or similar)
* 8–10+ years' experience in Project management within FMCG / food manufacturing with demonstrated success delivering large, complex projects in live, brownfield production environments
* Strong financial and commercial capability, including CAPEX governance and contractor management
* Ability to lead ambiguity, prioritise effectively, and make sound decisions under pressure
* Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior stakeholders
Highly Regarded
* Experience in food processing or regulated manufacturing environments
* Exposure to major plant expansions, equipment standardisation, or multi‐site programs
* Familiarity with CMMS, ERP systems, or asset lifecycle management frameworks
