Health & Safety Officer - SEQ - Gen

EGroup Protective Services Group Pty Ltd is looking for a Workplace Health and Safety Officer with road infrastructure experience to join our Brisbane & SEQ team. The role will last approximately 2 years with a possibility of extensions.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and implementation of health and safety plans
* Complete risk assessments, audits, task observations and safety investigations
* Complete and maintain any documentation required on the project per the Federal Safety Accreditation and ISO Accreditation requirements
* Ensure relevant legislation is adhered to
* Provide training and support to the team members
* Manage and develop relationships with employees and stakeholders
Essential Skills and Experience
* Minimum 5 years' WH&S experience on TMR road infrastructure projects and related audits
* Strong understanding of latest OH&S legislation
* Experience working on road construction projects in rural environments
* Time–management and task‑prioritisation capabilities, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage pressure
* Excellent communication skills
* Well‑developed interpersonal and conflict‑resolution skills
* Qualified in OHS
Proposed hours are 36‑45 per week; longer hours and weekend work may be required to suit workload.
You must have the right to work in Australia, a current driver's licence, and well‑developed interpersonal and consultative skills.
