We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Head of Audio to join our team
What You Will Do:
As the Head of Audio, you will lead all audio-related operations across Cairns Performing Arts Centre, Munro Martin Parklands and other creative venues, ensuring that every event runs seamlessly and sounds spectacular. Working closely with clients, artists, and our in-house technical team, you will manage the end-to-end audio production process, from pre-event planning to post-show pack-down.
This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on technical work and leadership, with a strong focus on maintaining high production values, operational excellence, and a commitment to safety and service.
What We Are Looking For:
* Possession of a Rigger's Certification (or ability to obtain).
* Certificate III in live Production and Services (or ability to obtain).
* Certificate IV in live Production and Technical Services (or ability to obtain).
* Current Queensland LR Class Drivers Licence (or ability to obtain) with the ability to independently drive between business locations to meet operational needs.
* Current First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain).
* Elevated work platform (EWP) > 11 metres (or ability to obtain).
* A minimum of five years' experience working at a multistage arts centre or for a production or theatre company.
* A high level of operational competency in technical theatre, specialising in audio and video systems.
* High level of technical expertise comprehensive skills and experience in all aspects of sound operations and design.
* Demonstrated High level supervisory skills, including a demonstrated track record of events delivery and thorough knowledge of supervisory responsibilities under WHS.
