The Protective Security, Continuity and Emergency Management Section is responsible for all aspects of the department's physical and personnel security. The section works collaboratively with IT Security, HR, Property and other key business areas to deliver and implement the core and supporting requirements of the Protective Security Policy Framework. This role is part of a small team responsible for protective security services, pre-employment screening, ongoing suitability, managing security clearances and security incident management at all departmental sites across Australia. The key duties of the position include support the department to implement and administer the requirements of the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), including personnel security vetting requirements deliver the day-to-day operations of protective security services, including accurate data entry and the processing of pre-employment screening manage sensitive protective security matters support the development of standard operating procedures, guidelines and process improvements communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver protective security related services assist with the preparation of security related communications including emails, briefs and reports as well as PSPF security awareness activities.
