Are you a passionate individual who wants to make a difference, promote sustainable development, and find solutions to the biggest global challenges including climate change, overpopulation, and water scarcity? Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.
Benefits
* Join a growing engineering function supporting upcoming projects and active tendering across Australia
* Brisbane preferred (flexible to be based in another major city) with national travel as required
* Work across tender, design, procurement, construction support and commissioning activities (EPC lifecycle)
* Join a global leader with meaningful opportunities to grow, develop and progress your career.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across the design and delivery of electrical systems for major water infrastructure projects, including water treatment and desalination plants. You will work closely with mechanical, civil and process engineers, as well as suppliers and subcontractors, to develop integrated solutions that meet project specifications, regulatory requirements and client expectations.
This is a fast-paced environment with tight tender timeframes. The successful candidate will be adaptable, well organized and confident working autonomously, while also supporting and coordinating a small team as required.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead and support front-end electrical engineering (tender and design) to meet project requirements, standards and client expectations.
* Provide technical input into EPC delivery, including engineering, procurement support, construction planning and commissioning readiness.
* Develop and implement project methods, including identification of temporary works and responsibilities for design, checking, inspection and maintenance.
* Manage schedules and critical path items by planning resources, risk, sequencing and logistics to mitigate delays and protect key milestones.
* Coordinate and communicate across multidisciplinary teams, including client and stakeholder interfaces, suppliers and subcontractors.
* Support construction delivery by ensuring method statements and engineering plans are implemented and re-planning is communicated effectively.
* Apply risk management and due diligence to ensure WHS risks are identified and controlled and compliance obligations are met.
* Use and promote digital engineering tools to support planning, coordination, utility identification and collaboration during design and delivery.
* Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and "Quality at ACCIONA" practices, including cost control and contract performance awareness.
* Mentor and develop less experienced engineers and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or related discipline).
* 10+ years' experience in electrical project delivery or technical tendering.
* Strong industrial electrical engineering background; water treatment/desalination experience highly regarded but will consider relevant experience from the energy sector.
* LV/MV experience desirable, including power distribution and balance-of-plant/system electrical scope.
* Demonstrated experience working in EPC environments with supplier/contractor interfaces, procurement support and construction coordination.
* Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients, construction teams and internal disciplines.
* Strong planning, prioritisation and delivery focus; comfortable working to tight timeframes and shifting priorities.
What We Offer
At ACCIONA, you will contribute to meaningful infrastructure with sustainability embedded across the full project lifecycle. We operate with a strong safety culture, supported by robust systems and standards. You will work in a collaborative team that values innovation, leadership and continuous improvement, with access to development programs and career growth opportunities.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and promote equality and diversity. Indigenous Australians and candidates from minority groups are encouraged to apply.
