About the Role
We're seeking experienced Auto Electricians to join our Field Services team, performing scheduled major shutdown work on large-scale excavators and drills across our Western Australian Iron Ore (WAIO) sites in the Pilbara Region: Jimblebar, Newman, Area C, South Flank and Yandi. This is a hands-on, roaming field-based role where you'll play a key part in maintaining and repairing heavy mining mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Roster will be 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off, FIFO from Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on electrical systems of heavy mining equipment.
2. Work collaboratively with maintenance teams to perform scheduled shutdown works efficiently.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical faults.
About You
Trade qualified Auto Electrician (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years' post apprentice experience as an Auto Electrician.
Experience working on large mobile mining equipment (Liebherr 9800, 9400, Komatsu, Cat 6090, 7495, 6060, Hitachi EX8000, EX5600, Epiroc drills) essential.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues.
Strong shutdown and field service experience in the mining sector.
Strong safety focus and ability to work well in a team.
