ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE

We're seeking a Product Owner to join our Technology team. This team is responsible for the vision, development, design, delivery and ongoing governance of key product enhancements on the platform with particular aim on collaborating with external vendors and strategic partners. We have a strong focus on navigating regulatory complexity, spotting patterns, and simplifying systems and processes to create meaningful advice team and client outcomes.

You'll report directly to the Executive General Manager - Business Services, taking ownership of the product governance and backlog, driving delivery across a range of initiatives aimed at improving the user experience.

The role requires deep cross-team collaboration and communication (working with internal marketing, data, tech and sales teams plus our external Trustee and Administrator strategic partners), so you'll need to feel comfortable working cross-functionally and keeping things moving. The ideal working style for this role is detail-oriented, owner-minded, and process-driven.

This is a full-time position based at either our Sunshine Coast Head Office or our Melbourne office.

KEY OBJECTIVES

Collaborate closely with business leaders and internal and external stakeholders to help deliver impactful features and ensure compliance of these with disclosed product offer documents. You will transform complex technical content into clear, engaging, and compliant retail disclosures

Engage with key internal and external stakeholders, including advice teams,to help prioritise product deliverables, develop relationships and enhancing education and knowledge of PlatformplusWRAP.

Lead initiatives to design, develop and deliver continuous improvement of the functionality and client experience.

Own and manage the core product documents, in consultation with the Executive General Manager - Business Services and our key service providers, ensuring compliance with platform functionality, related legislation, policies and standards

Manage any operational incidents end-to-end in close collaboration with the product's Administrator and Trustee, including remediation approaches and communication

Establish a culture of knowledge sharing and assist the team by answering questions that provide a deeper understanding of the requirements, processes, systems and system integration needs. Maintaining strong and effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders is a must.

Report weekly, monthly and ad hoc to the Executive team and key internal stakeholders on platform flows capturing advice recommendations and assets under administration. Deep and practical insights to the quantitative data is essential for business application

Assist with the development and maintenance of governance processes and oversight in line with vendor agreements and SLAs

Focus on continuous improvement and use of AI to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of our processes both internal and external with partners

ABOUT YOU

Proven experience and interest in a related role in the Financial Services sector with specific experience with Advisers, wrap platforms and/or data integration technology. We welcome a variety of financial services experiences including risk and compliance professionals, ex-advisers and product managers of alike funds

Tertiary qualification in financial planning, economics or finance (or other relevant industry) will be highly regarded

Strong aptitude for technology and familiarity with M365 and Excel

Brilliant written skills - you can write a compliant Product Update alongside an engaging, factual and clear supporting written communication for advice teams

Genuinely and proactively seek feedback and input from subject matter experts in order to deliver the best possible outcome. You never come with a blank piece of paper but a proposal for improvement

Excellent communication skills - it is second nature for you to keep on top of your work and keep those required, informed of your progress without prompt

Developed problem solving and analytical skills

IF YOU WERE HERE LAST WEEK YOU MIGHT HAVE...

Attended a planning meeting with the Fund's Trustee and Administrator to present and seek feedback on a delivery timeline for the product's next release, in which required a Supplementary Product Disclosure Statement and Significant Event Notice. In this there are a multitude of variables and milestones to consider, including release dates, regulator timelines and stakeholder change management – you approach this with calm consideration

Supported the broader team in a cash management solution design workshop for the upcoming release, confidently voicing suggestions that keep the user front of mind

Drafted a Significant Event Notice and sought feedback and sign off from internal stakeholders, Trustee and Administrator

Produced and distributed an end of month report to the Executive Team including keen insights to the advice pipeline, assets under administration and product initiatives

Completed a quarterly governance attestation for the Responsible Entity

Presented to a small group on the upcoming functional enhancements, answering questions and taking on feedback
