Job Description
Looking to work in a modern, state-of-the-art cabinetry manufacturing facility in Cairns, Far North Qld? Join our team today! We are seeking the skills of a Cabinet maker who will be responsible for assembly of cabinets after they have been machined and pre-drilled.
Depending on experience, you may also undertake custom assembly and on site installation of cabinetry. The successful applicant will be offered a salary package of $75,000 - $80,000 per annum. Work well autonomously and as part of a team Key duties of the role: Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time Carry out cabinet making activities, such as: Examining drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications Accurately measure, shape and cut materials Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves Carry out construction, assembly alteration or renovation of cabinets or cupboards, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified Analyse diagrams, sketches, and blueprints to ensure work meets current plans and specifications Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges, and side panels, always using blueprints or design plans for reference Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles Reinforce joints and attachments to maximise sturdiness and durability without compromising aesthetic appeal or functionality Installing cabinetry on site where required to project specifications. Key Qualifications & Experience Essential
* Certificate III in Cabinet
Making (MSF31113) or equivalent
* 2+ years previous experience as a Cabinet Maker
* General Construction Induction (White Card) (CPCCWHS1001) or equivalent
* Queensland Current C Class Driver's Licence
