We're now seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to play a key role in strengthening governance, risk management and internal controls across our Australian business.
About the role
Reporting to the Group Chief Internal Audit Officer (Singapore) with a dotted line to the Chief Financial Officer (Australia), this role acts as a trusted internal advisor across the business.
You'll lead and deliver risk‐based internal audits across financial, operational, compliance and IT areas, providing practical insights that support continuous improvement, strong governance and business performance.
What you'll be doing
* Develop and execute the internal audit plan across CDC Australia
* Conduct audits across financial reporting, operations, compliance, IT and enterprise systems
* Assess the effectiveness of internal controls, SOPs and governance frameworks
* Identify risks, control gaps and opportunities for improvement, productivity and cost savings
* Prepare clear, insightful audit reports and track actions through to completion
* Conduct investigations into identified or suspected risks, including potential fraud
* Support compliance with regulatory, PII, EHS and sustainability requirements
* Partner with business leaders to promote strong risk awareness and best‐practice controls
What we're looking for
* Highly self‐motivated and independent, with the confidence and maturity to operate effectively within both domestic and international reporting structures.
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
* CPA or CA qualification.
* 5+ years' experience in an Internal Audit role.
* Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience auditing financial, operational and IT controls.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
* High attention to detail, sound judgement and exceptional integrity.
* Confident communicator who can engage credibly with senior stakeholders.
* Ability to travel regularly domestically.
